Competition Entries close on Monday 18th August at 5pm. Entry forms and fees may be lodged at the Council Office, High Street, Boonah.
While some artists are still putting finishing touches to their writing pieces, painting, sculptures and calico outfits, rehearsals are well underway for all the other events in the Festival.
Sixty six young people from the ages of 4 years old signed up for the Youth Showcase for the Festival and are practicing hard to put on the show of a lifetime for anyone who wants to see what amazing talent these youngsters can produce in just seven short weeks.
Local community members have been rehearsing hard to put on four funny plays written by local playwrights for The Night of Drama.
Debaters have meet and are putting their arguments together for The Great Debate.Last year's seniors who put on the CWA piece are rehearsing a new number to debut during the Calico on the Catwalk, along with a skit and dance by High School students. And the body painting artists are 'warming' up the local models to be painted during the Art Awards.
“We have the most amazing talent and diversity over the whole festival said Graeme Crouch, president of the Boonah Cultural Foundation, there really is something for everyone to enjoy, from laughing at the Great Debate to supporting young performers to viewing the stunning designs on the catwalk.
